Parkview House Bed and Breakfast is centally located at the edge of Amarillo's Historic District, minutes from I-40, I-27, downtown/Civic Center, Historic Old Route 66, and Palo Duro Canyon.
There are lots of great fun things to do. See a real rodeo, hike, picnic, and or ride horseback in the Palo Duro Canyon.
( second largest Canyon in the U.S.!) Attend either of the two seasonal outdoor musicals "TEXAS", held in the Palo Duro Canyon, or "Lone Star Rising", held at Lake Meredith.
Especially interesting museums are the American Quarter Horse Heritage and the Panhandle Plains Historical museums.
Be sure not to forget a nostalgic trip on "Old Route 66" and, perhaps, scout out that special antiques' find.

Rooms/Suites
Colonial Room:
A queen sized comfy mahogany poster bed with a Crazy quilt in shades of calming blue, burgundy and white invite guests to linger and unwind . Antiques, such as the Ribbon rocker and European amoire add to the ambience of this charming room. A very special place to refresh and renew.
The private bath with ceramic floor has a pedestal sink and claw foot tub for luxurious bubble baths.
French Room:
An ornate gilded French Satinwood queen bed, crystal chandelier, and Napoleonic accents pamper guests with an atmosphere worthy of royalty. The large bath embellished with greenery creates a garden-like atmosphere
Victorian Rose Suite:
Romance is far from forgotten here with an enchanting Victorian walnut bed complete with guardian angel looking down from above. Take a soothing bubble bath in the clawfoot tub of the Jungle bathroom to top off your B & B safari.
English Country:
A stenciled Cottage style walnut queen bed covered in sunny yellow chintz, enhanced by the cozy reading nook for two, makes this upstairs guest room a charming hide-a-way.
Dutch Room:
The antique oak Sleigh bed nestled under the eaves, the hand carved maple rocker and, a collection of antique toys are sure to charm the most discriminating guest. A lovely view of the gardens and park below imparts a tranquil, nostalgic ambience, reminiscent of a bygone era. The bathroom has a 6 ft long claw foot bathtub and hand held shower, just like grandma's house.
Garden Cottage:
Both romantic and secluded, the Garden Cottage has an eclectic 40's Style decor . The bedroom, has a wonderful antique oak bed, romantically lavished with designer bedding, and fabric draped overhead, like a tent right out of Arabian Nights. While on the headboard, a trio of Angels seem to be bestowing "Sweet Dreams" upon sleepers below.

The Cottage is the perfect romantic retreat or honeymoon hideaway , especially for all those Special Occasions. There's a full living room with cable TV/VCR, plus a kitchen with coffeemaker and microwave, complete with cold drinks in the fridge. Hot tub access with fluffy robes provided.

From Amarillo International travel to I-40 travel West to Washington St. exit, ( be sure to stay in center lane until past the Amarillo Downtown Exits ) take the Washington St. Exit North 6 Block to W. 14th St. then travel right or East for 1 block Parkview House is right on the corner.
