Description of Active Adventure

For our canoeing trips previous experience is not necessary. We have selected waters that have been categorized as being suitable for beginners. Our expert guides will provide instruction in technique and with safety. Although suitable for novices, paddlers with previous experience will find our expeditions to satisfy their sense of adventure. We use Clipper and Old Towne canoes for our expeditions.

Age range, type of group

Both beginners and experienced hikers and paddlers of all ages join us on our trips,. All you need are the items identified on our equipment/clothing list, be reasonably fit, have a sense of adventure, and be willing to accept the unexpected.

Sleeping and meals

We take care of all transportation from the point of origin and return, cooking gear, meals/snacks/beverages on the expedition, tents, canoes, kayaks, paddles, PFDs, meal preparations, camp stoves, tarps, major first aid supplies and professional guides. Upon registration we will send you information about conditioning, packing, equipment and clothing, along with maps and itinerary. Sleeping bags, sleeping pads, and backpacks can be rented at reasonable rates.
