Our Alaska Cruises are aboard the 87 Foot Classic Yacht M.V. Discovery a Cassic Fantail Motor Yacht built in 1931. The vessel is equiped with all the modern convienences and toys. We carry 2 Boston Whalers with outboards, 4 sea kayaks and a whithall rowing skiff. The vessel is equiped with TV, DVD, VHS, a good reference library and a good stero system as well as all modern navigation equipment. Our crew of four consists of a licensed Coast Guard Captain/ Naturalist, Deckhand, Chef and Chefs helper.

Destinations

Our intineraries are kept purposely flexible and are tailored towards our clients desires. It allows for the unexpected events that are often the highlights of traveling. Our days will be spent whale watching, cruising, fishing and taking in the beautiful scenery Alaska has to offer. Whether kayaking,hiking into a river to view Brown Bears feeding on spawning salmon or Cruising Tracy Arm to watch calving Glaciers you'll be traveling in comfort and style. As one of Alaska longest term charter operators we also provide experiences and opportunities no other charter operator can offer. Both Anan and Pack Creek bear viewing observatories are among these.We do scheduled 8 day cruises with itineraries from both Juneau - Juneau ( Admiralty Island ) and Juneau to Kethikan as well as Seattle to Ketchikan.

Typical Day

A typical day is hard to describe because the range of opportunities varies greatly day to day. Whether hiking ashore to view Bears, Cruising Tracy Arm, whale watching, stopping to catch a salmon or halibut, soaking in a Natural Hot Springs or just enjoying some of the worlds most spectacular scenery the opportunities are endless.

Age range, type of group

These trips are designed and appropriate for all ages. Over the years we've had passengers into their 90s. Typically we have either a family group or organized group of friends or a combination of mixed couples or single passengers. We offer both group and individual rates.

Sleeping and meals

The boat has six private staterooms all with opening portholes. 3 Double Cabins, 2 twin cabins and a single cabin.All meals are provided as is wine with dinner. The Gourmet meals prepared by our chef are first class.

Restrictions

Smoking is allowed only outside on deck.

Rates & Availability

We take both indivuals, couples as well as organized groups. Rates vary by group size.- Group of 6 - 24500/ Group of 8 - 27500 / Group of 10 -32500

Discounts Offered

Our cruises are $3995 per person we also have special group rates for passengers that would like the boat to themselves. About 50% of our trips are organized groups. We limit the group size from 8 - 10 on all our cruises.
