The Adobe B and B is in one of the most beautiful places on Earth. Santa Cruz sits on the blue Pacific Ocean and is known for it's ocean sports, fishing, golf, hiking, biking excellent cuisine and superb nightlife. The area is home to many artists and craftspersons, writers and scholors. This all makes the place quite exciting to visit and to live in.

Geographically we sit on the edge of the continent and up against a beautiful Redwood shrouded mountain range. Nearly our entire county is covered in Redwood forest. Off shore is the famous Monterey Bay Marine Sanctuary which is the playground for whales, sharks, pelagic sharks, dolphins, salmon, and many other species of marine life. A lot of marine research goes on in this sanctuary because it is extremely deep very close to shore.


Local attractions include the Redwood Forests, excellent golf, the Beach Boardwalk historic amusement park which has an awesome roller coaster right on the beach! Boats are available for sunset cruises, Roaring Camp Railroad gives steam train rides up in the mountains, and the wine tasting in the Santa Cruz appellation is superb.

Accommodations

The Adobe structure is true adobe brick. The walls are very thick and white-washed in traditional style. May of the floors are plank redwood or terra cotta "mexican" pavers. Any remodelling that has been done has only upgraded the interior with high quality materials. The house is solid and substantial throughout.

Our furnishings are simple and basically arts and crafts style, or shaker. There are a few scattered victorian antiques, but is not the prevailing style. We use Zapotec "tapetes" for some area rugs, and you'll find original art on the walls and around the house.

All the rooms have queen beds. The Ohlone Room also has a single to create a family suite. Every room also has a private bath with both tub and showers. Two rooms have whirlpool tubs and fireplaces. Two rooms have private entries.

We offer a steam room and a 24 hour tea/coffee service. There are many beautiful outdoor spaces and we are surrounded by gardens and courtards. The neighborhood is also superb. This little street has some of the finest homes in Santa Cruz.
