Vista del Mar Hotel and Condominiums are located right on the beach of Half Moon Bay in the quiet area of North Akumal. Step outside your accommodations and into the warm Caribbean waters. Snorkeling, swimming, turtle watching.
Enjoy magnificent sunsets while lounging at our pool. Plenty of shade on the beach with palapas and lush vegetation, as well as plenty of beach chairs and tables.
Rent a kayak, bike, and snorkel equipment. Book your day trips to Sian Kan Biosphere, jungle tours to see wild monkeys, Xcaret, Tulum ruins, and many more destinations. Rent a car for the day and go exploring. Or just relax in a hammock all day long.

Our spacious condominiums have open plan living areas with full kitchens. The studios are private and secluded for a romantic getaway.

The hotel rooms are basic, clean and economical. No frills with a great location.

La Buena Vida Restaurant on the premises serves lunches and dinners. With the best ceviche on the coast. Groceries can be purchased at one of the local grocery stores or at The Corner Store in the hotel building.

Directions

Exit out of the Cancun Airport and keep to your right. You will approach Highway 307.
Follow signs South toward CHETUMAL.
Akumal is an hour + drive (60 miles/ 95 kilometers) from the airport.
There are gas stations along the way at Puerto Morelos, Playa del Carmen, Puerto Aventuras and Xpu Ha.
As you approach Akumal you will pass under a pedestrian walkway over the highway (beware of the first of two large speed bumps!) Immediately on your left will be the entrance for Akumal and all of the following: Central Akumal (Playa Akumal), North Akumal, Half Moon Bay and Yal Ku Lagoon.
The highway median will not allow you to turn there. You must continue straight on the highway for about 100 meters to the first "RETORNO" (break in the median for a U turn).
Carefully U turn there and go back to the Akumal entrance.
Turn right and drive down the Akumal access road and under the arch. The road will split left and right at a statue.
Follow the road left. You are now on the road to North Akumal and Yal ku lagoon.
You will pass restaurants and parking on the left, then the road winds around a couple bends.
Go past a stone wall on your left, then around a bend to the left, over a speed bump with a guard shack on the left.
You will pass several houses to the right and eventually the Buena Vida Restaurant on Half Moon Bay. After you pass Akumal Dive Adventures Vista del Mar Hotel is the next 3 story building on the right. Vista del Mar Condos are next, then the reception office. Further up the road past two buildings, about 50 yards north, is Vista del Mar Norte.
