Port Douglas is the perfect place to base yourself to see this enchanting region.
Situated at one end of a 4 mile sandy beach, Port Douglas is a tropical village with no building higher than the surrounding coconut trees, offering a relaxed atmosphere in which to enjoy the excellent shopping and award winning restaurants.
Port Douglas is the closest starting point for trips to The Great Barrier Reef and is only a few minutes from the World Heritage listed Daintree Rainforest.
Guests can entertain themselves with snorkelling or diving trips to the outer reef, rainforest tours in 4WD vehicles, horseriding in the rainforest or on the beach. White water rafting, bungy jumping, ballon flights or parasailing for the adventurous.
Visit the wildlife or Aboriginal Culture parks. Take a trip on a 7 kilometre cableway across the top of the rainforest to Kuranda - the village in the rainforest.

Or simply relax and swim in warm tropical waters.

Vacation Rental Property

Tropical Reef is a small complex offering 1 or 2 bedroom balcony apartments and 3 bedroom roof terrace apartments. Situated only 100m from the main street and the first restaurant, and 100m from beautiful 4 Mile Beach guests at Tropical Reef are within walking distance of everything.
We have 2 salt water pools, one with a shallow end very suitable for younger children, and a large undercover BBQ area adjacent to the larger pool.
The complex is set in delightful tropical gardens.

Sleeps & # of Bedrooms

All apartments have a large kitchen with full stove, fridge-freezer and microwave. Separate lounge with balcony, private bathroom and separate toilet, washer & dryer in the unit, airconditioning, hair dryer, colour TV, direct dial phones. Bedroom/s have queen bed, and, or 2 singles.
Roof terrace apartments are a 2 story apartment with a 3rd bedroom upstairs, with a double bed and a bathroom off of it. Also a large exterior sun terrace with table, chairs and sun lounger.
The perfect place for breakfast, evening drinks, or to sun bake. Comfortably sleeping up to 6 people.

There are 2 swimming pools on site, and for the more active guests there a 2 world class golf courses, fitness centres, tennis courts and lap pools in Port Douglas.
For those who prefer late entertainment there are several night clubs all within walking distance.

Services Offered

All apartments are serviced weekly, or part way through your stay for bookings longer than a week.
Services are available on request for an additional charge.
Massage and beauty treatment are available either in Port Douglas or in your room.

Directions

Port Douglas is 65 kilometres north of Cairns airport and is serviced by a public bus and several private mini bus services. With the private bus you are met in the arrival lounge and transferred direct to Port Douglas - no waiting for the bus to arrive and no stops on the way up. We can arrange all transfers, or if you prefer, a rental car to be available for you at the airport.
