Days vary from active paddling, leisurely wildlife watching, and adventurous exploration on foot, raft, canoe and sea kayak. Camping trips provide the most close-up encounters with wilderness and its wildlife. Inn trips comine wilderness with luxury.

Age range, type of group

Ages range from 14 years plus. The variety of trips offer adventures for many levels of ability.

Sleeping and meals

Alaska Discovery's camping trips have included the offspring of US Presidents, cabinet members and movie stars. They are a great combination of adventure and comfort. Many trips are exploratory and true expeditions. Their 9-day Inn trip is the best we've seen.

Restrictions

Alaska Discovery asks that youth be 13 years old or older. Some special trips are designed for families.
They offer a wonderful women-only sea kayaking/camping trip in Glacier Bay.
