Coruh River Rafting Expedition

The Coruh River offers world class rafting, and a taste of the real Turkey beyond the tourist resorts. For adrenaline addicts the highest water levels are in May and early June; if you are looking for a more relaxing trip come in late June or July. Previous rafting experience is useful but not essential; you just need to be reasonably fit, able to swim, and used to the outdoor life. Spectacular canyons, fertile valleys, ancient ruined castles and churches, rugged mountains, and friendly, hospitable local people.

8 day - 25 May; 8 June
4 day - 18 May; 1 June

Typical Day

Breakfast in camp. Approx 4-5 hours rafting each day, with a break by the riverside for a picnic lunch. Evening camp by the riverside, with dinner around the campfire. The 8 day trip includes one day trekking in to the mountains to explore abandoned 10th century churches.

Minimum age 16.

Camping, plus one night in a pension on the 8-day trip.

Kayakers with grade 5 experience are welcome to join the expeditions. Kayaks are available.
