Surrounding Area
The B&B is within walking distance of all the attractions of Peggy's Cove, including the DeGarthe Monument & Museum, Peggy's Cove Studio Gallery, shops, galleries, restaurants, and Lighthouse. You can also go hiking, Whale Watching, golfing or rent a kayak. There are great water tours, sightseeing tours, antiques, crafts and much more.
Halifax is 30 minutes East. Halifax is small, friendly, safe but cosmopolitan city offering live theatre, fine dinning, museums, art galleries, shopping, a host of sightseeing options from Harbour Tours to double decker bus tours to Grave Tours (believe it or not).
West of Peggy's Cove along the "Lighthouse Route" visit St. Margaret's Bay, Chester, Mahone Bay and Lunenburg. This is a full day and you will need lots of film!
Another day visit the Annapolis Valley taking in the Tidal Bore, the world's highest tides, Grand Pre (site of the expulsion of the Acadians and Longfellow's Evangaline). Pick your own strawberries, blueberries or apples at one of the area's U-Pick farms.
