"The Devereux" is located in chic, stylish Remuera, Auckland. Just minutes away from a myriad of Aucklands' finest activities, theatres, shopping, galleries, restaurants, parks, cafes and the Americas Cup waterfront. We are close to Newmarket and Parnell and on bus and train routes. Downtown Auckland is just a few minutes away as is the eastern bays coastal boardwalk of Mission Bay.

Accommodations

A stunning 1890's historic villa set in a magical garden. Ten, beautifully decorated, fully serviced rooms, all with a different country theme. Ranging from Zambezi, Provence, Taj, Tuscany, Antigua, Bodrum, Orient, Cairo, and of course - Rangitoto (New Zealand). Breakfast is served in the conservatory, or alfresco by the fountain and is included in the tariff.

Rooms/Suites

The rooms are all decorated in global themes, with antique furniture and accessories collected from around the world. Ten fully serviced rooms, Les Floralies toiletries, telephone, and t.v. - all with our special warm personal service.
The hotel is set on a back section of a property well away from the road and any noise. It is quite, peaceful and has that special ambience and presence only a grand old lady of circa 1890's vintage could have.

Amenities

Room Service with a varied menu is available from 10AM to 10PM. Delicious 2 and 3 course lunch and dinner by arrangement. Bar and snack fridge facilities with a variety of temptations at reasonable prices. Modem connections available in the rooms. Fax, mobile PC, fast ADSL internet access facilities available free of charge. SKY TV and video channel available. Private reading room with a variety of tour and accommodation guides, maps, books, videos etc.
Smaller intimate conference and event facilities.

Services Offered

Courtesy shoe shine and clothes pressing for Master Suite guests. Full laundry and dry cleaning service. On or off- site aromatherapy, massage and beauty treatments.
Children catered for with exciting meals, personalised activity, nanny and babysitting services. We also offer very competitive car rental facilities in conjunction with various 3rd party specialists, tour planning / booking and onward accommodation booking.

Restrictions

We are a non-smoking hotel but guests are of course welcome to indulge outside in our beautiful garden.
We welcome all age groups but do ask that noise be kept within reasonable bounds in consideration of other guests.
Pets can be accommodated by special arrangement.

DESCRIPTION OF OUR ROOMS
SUITE - We have 4 double / single suites. Suites are a lovely reasonable size room with en suite bathroom (shower). They have a queen size double bed.

EXECUTIVE SUITE - these are a larger more luxurious double / twin or triple room with various bed configurations all with en suite bathrooms (shower). There are 3 Executive Suites.
The configurations are:
'Rangitoto room' - King double bed or 2 single beds + also has single bed / couch + also additional sun/study room. Rangitoto and Orient can be interlocking rooms - ideal for family.
'Orient room' - King double bed or 2 single beds + additional sun/study room. Can have additional single bed specified if required.
'Taj room' - very spacious room. King double bed or 2 single beds + also has single bed / couch. Can have an additional single bed specified if required. Later in 2003 this room may also be converted to a Master Suite (we have a 3-story chimney to work out how to remove carefully first though!).

MASTER SUITE - this is a large super luxurious double room with various bed configurations all with upgraded spacious en suite bathrooms that have separate baths (some super spa baths) and showers. There are 2 Master Suites. The configurations are:
'Zambezi room' - King double 4 poster bed + single bed / couch. Luxurious bathroom with spa bath and separate shower.
'Antigua room' - King double bed or 2 single beds. Luxurious bathroom with spa bath and separate shower.
'Tuscany Room' - very spacious room. King double 4-poster bed. + also has single bed / couch. Can have an additional single bed specified if required. Luxurious bathroom with old-fashioned claw foot bath and separate shower. The Tuscany room is an Executive suite presently but is due to be upgraded to a Master Suite late in 2003.

HOW TO GET TO THE DEVEREUX:
We are located in Remuera opposite Kings Preparatory School between Market and Omahu rds just North of the Remuera shops.
From The Southern Motorway From N Or S: take the market rd off-ramp, turn North to Remuera rd, at T turn right into Remuera rd, through lights & we are 800m on the right.
From The Airport: Take the SW Motorway into town, Queenstown rd off-ramp, turn right over motorway, Queenstown rd becomes Pah rd becomes Manukau rd.
1st rd after Greenlane rd West, turn right into Cambell Crescent, becomes Market rd, at T turn right into Remuera rd, through lights & we are 800m on the right.
