Berryville is in a rural county of the northern Shenandoah valley. Steeped in the history of George Washington and Civil War, Clarke county enjoys a 4 season climate and year-round attractions. Spectacular views of the Blue Ridge mountains and antique shops, country auctions, caverns, hiking trails, river rafting, fishing, horseback riding, and champion golf courses all tempt you from the rockers on the front porch. Nearby skiing, Harpers' Ferry national park, Shepardstown and the horesback racing of Charles Town are just a quick trip down the road. Clarke county also offers Christmas Tree cut your own farms, strawberry and blueberry farms and apple orchards.
Accommodations
The Lost Dog is a circa 1864 home with wide pine flooring, tall ceilings, and old fashioned charm. The three guest rooms are located on the second floor and each offer private bath, queen size bed, cable TV, and full breakfast. The outdoor private deck has a 500 gallon hot tub. and a heated changing room is only a few steps away. Porches and gardens tempt guests to relax in the summertime, and in colder months the fireplace in the living room is cozy and comfortable.

Rooms/Suites
Chris' room features a working fireplace, and shower big enough for two. Annie's room has newly renovated private bath ensuite. Virginia's room has a whirlpool tub big enough for two and a separate shower. All rooms have individual air conditioning in summer months.

Berryville offers a variety of restaurants on Main Street and within just a few miles of the town. Fine French dining or country cooking--you won't go hungry! Many of the local vineyards offer lite fare and special events which include wonderful meals.

Pets and children welcome as long as other prior reservations do not conflict. Please call in advance to arrange your visit and discuss these details if you are including either children or pets in your party. Smoking is allowed on the porches or in the gardens.
Rates & Availability
Rates subject to change seasonally, but generally range from $175.00 to $95 each night plus tax for a 2-night weekend stay depending on room and day of the week/month. This inn is open 12 months a year. High season is May-June and Sept-Oct. Please call for an exact quote.

When entering Berryville, from westbound Business Route 7, turn left at the first light onto South Church St. From southbound Rt. 340, turn left at the first light and right at the second light onto South Church.
