With the tall Pine Trees and rolling hills,the Piney Woods of East Texas are some of the most breathtaking views in the country. Henderson, a Texas Main Sreet City, is friendly and offers quaint small town shopping. Lakes, museums, and The Henderson Civic theater are just a few of the area attractions awaiting you.

Accommodations

Lazy Staehs is a large two story English Tudor Style home situated on twelve secluded acres, with landscaped grounds, woods, a creek and a sparkling pool. There are many private alcoves both inside and out to read or just gaze out the window. The decor of Lazy Staehs is not lacy-frilly, originally built by an attorney the property is rich in woodwork and detail. The chimanea on the patio makes crisp evenings warm and the fireplace in the den makes watching old movies on the big screen a nice repose. In summer relax at the pool or catch the breeze under a big oak tree.

Rooms/Suites

Each room is oversized with antique decor. The private baths are outfitted with big thirsty Pima Cotton towels. Two rooms upstairs offer queen size beds, a great view of the wooded creek and garden with a balcony and private entrance. Downstairs with it's full size bed and twin daybed is warmly decorated and has a good view of the creek and gardens.

Amenities

As a convinience to our guests dinner is offered at an additional charge. Please make those arrangments when booking your stay. There are times when we must take working vacations, for that reason Lazy staehs has fax, copier, and e-mail service available. The on site pool is for your enjoyment.

No pets, however there are boarding facilities nearby.

Smoking is happily allowed outside.

Directions

From the traffic star in Henderson, take hwy 259n towards Kilgore travel approx. 0.3 mile to F.M. 782 turn right. Travel approx. 1.5 miles to Lazy Staehs B&B on the right.
Note: You will not see the house from the road, turn right into the drive and wind up to the house.
