Orcas Island, the gem of the San Juan Islands, contains Moran State Park, 4th largest in Washington. Guests also enjoy whale watching, sea kayaking, hiking, birding, beautiful sunsets, and the opportunity to just relax and rejuvenate.
Accommodations
Situated on about two acres, the inn has 5 guestrooms, all with private baths. The large living room has a fieldstone fireplace, and there is a library/game room, expansive decks, a large front lawn for frisbees, and a hot tub in the back garden.

Steller Suite: This is a 2-room suite with king-sized bed in the bedroom DVD player with video library, a private sitting room with double-sized Murphy bed, and private bath. $25 per add'l guest Goldfinch Room: 2nd floor, King bed and private bath. Nuthatch Room: 2nd floor, enclosed queen bed and twin, private bath w/ shower. Chickadee Rm: 2nd floor, queen bed, privte bath w/ shower. This is a large, light and airy room with white wicker sitting area. Flicker Suite: 2nd floor, King bed and Full Bed Private bath w/ shower, private sitting room with TV/DVD player and movies. All prices include full breakfast.

Other Information
Because of its central location, Kangaroo House welcomes bike groups (racks for a dozen bikes under the deck) and guests arriving by private aircraft (we are a 6-minute walk through the hangers).
Directions
From Seattle or Vancouver, B.C., take I-5 to Exit 230, then follow signs for the San Juan Islands Ferry. Upon disembarking on Orcas Island, bear left and follow the Horseshoe Highway about 10 miles into Eastsound. Once there, take the 2nd left, Prune Alley, and go almost exactly 1 mile straight north. Kangaroo House is on the left.Arriving by air?: ask in the terminal and they'll show you the short cut to Kangaroo House.
