Accommodations

The Ann Starrett Mansion has been called "The Grand 'BON BON' of them all!" It's classic Victorian architecture, frescoed ceilings and a free hung, three tiered spiral staircase( the construction technique remains a mystery), leadind to one of the most unusual domes in North America, The eight sided dome is actually a glorified solar calendar with frescos painted in Ann's image depicting the Four Seasons and Four Virtues. The inside of the mansion is exquisitely detailed with elaboratemoldings featuring carved lions, doves and ferns. The outside is truly victorian stickstyle with gables and a Tower that rises 70 feet. This historic Mansion is not only of local, but national significance.

Rooms/Suites

Nine of the guest rooms are located in the Inn. All are furnished in authentic antiques. The Master Suite has a canopy bed that rises twelve feet from floor to ceiling persian rugs the most lovely antiques. The Garden Suite has a bright red painted clawfoot tub, the original brick walls and antique iron bed. All rooms have private baths and most rooms have a water and mountain view. Two cottages are located next to the Inn. The upstairs has a sitting, room fireplace, jacuzzi, balcony and deck. Be free to stretch out, to sooth body and soul, to grow lazy and in touch with timelessness among the Chandeliers and heavy exotic wood doors. A bridge grate from Singapore above the bed adorned with lions. You will want to stay forever.

Directions

From downtown Seattle - Take the Washington State Ferry to Bainbridge Island, SR 305 to Poulsbo, Sr 3 to the Hood Canal Bridge and follow the signs to Port Townsend. Drive through the business district to Monroe St, turn left and go to the second left, Clay St. The Starrett Mansion is three blocks on the right at the intersection of Adams St.
