Located in Western North Carolina in the heart of the Blue Ridge Mountains. Wray House is situated just off the "square" in a picturesque small town -- walking distance to antique shops, art galleries, and art studios.

Accommodations

The "Federal style" main house was built in 1902 and has a rocking chair porch, formal parlor, dining room, sunporch, and a breakfast room overlooking the courtyard garden. A separate Williamsburg cottage offers the ultimate in privacy.

Rooms/Suites

In the main house, three well appointed rooms with private baths are large, airconditioned and equipped with cable TV. The cottage has two large bedrooms each with private bath and entrance - adjacent to the courtyard garden.

Amenities

Dedicated conference room for private meetings, breakfasts, luncheons and parties - accommodating 6 to 24 people. Computer with internet access on site, also fax machine and copier.

Services Offered

Many services offered in the community may be enjoyed on or off site. Room service upon advance request at additional charge. VIP package at additional charge includes flowers, chocolates, candles, music, luxury bath products, etc. Full breakfast included.

Restrictions

No pets, no children. Seniors are most welcome - easy accommodation in first floor room. Located in a "dry" county so bring your own wine or champagne.

Open year around - Rack rates are $95 - $110 April 1 thru October 31; $75 - $95 November 1 thru March 31.

Other Information

Major arts and crafts center with 80 + studios within 20 mile radius of Burnsville. In addition, the famous "Penland School of Crafts" is open year round with many exhibits, classes, auctions and tour events. Mt. Mitchell Annual Craft Fair is "on the square" in Burnsville the first weekend in August - make your reservations early.

Directions

From Asheville, NC take 19/23 north to 19 (Burnsville) proceed to second traffic signal, turn left - house is 150 feet from traffic signal on the left. Street parking available in front of house.
