Description of Surrounding Area

We are located in the small village of Algodones between Albuquerque and Santa Fe. There is shopping, hiking, horse backriding, snow skiing, Native American ruins and fiestas, museums, and much more all within a 30 minutes drive. The Turquoise Trail, the Jemez Trail, Bandelier Ruins and Chaco Canyon are great day trips.

Hacienda Vargas is an adobe Hacienda that dates back to the 1800's. We have an 200 year old chapel, a historic bell tower and lots of grass and trees. A 200 year old Elm tree shades the inner courtyard.

The Hacienda is decorated in the Spanish and Native American motif with many antiques.

We can accomodate weddings and large group retreats in our beautifull grounds

Description of Rooms/Suites

All our rooms and suites are decorated differently, they all offer private entrances and private bathrooms and fireplaces.

Our Suites have private jacuzzi tubs, and private courtyards.

Amenities

All rates include a bountiful full breakfast and we can accommodate any dietary needs with notice.

We have excellent restaurants from casual to find dining within a 5- minute drive.

There are four major golf courses nearby. Casinos nearby.
