Surrounding Area
Visit our web page for a full list of things to do. Augusta is a great location for a "base camp" for day trips to visit the coast, lakes, and mountains of Maine. We are not a typical tourist area, so you can visit with lots of "locals", and we'll help you plan your daily itinerary depending on the activities you wish to pursue, whether hiking, biking, canoeing, camping, or antiquing and sightseeing.
Accommodations
We have been operating since 1992, and offer seven guest rooms (currently some shared and some private baths, but planned renovations will have all private baths by spring 2000). Our 1890's victorian farmhouse offers relaxed elegance in a casual atmosphere. We have 130 acres of rolling fields of hay and lots of woods with trails. We have a spring fed pond for swimming, and a whole menagerie of farm animals in the barn which would love to visit with you. Full custom-cooked menu-chosen breakfast included with room rate.
Rooms/Suites
All of our rooms are furnished with antiques and have large windows overlooking the fields and woods. Large spacious and immaculately clean guestrooms welcome you, and we offer double or queen size beds. All rooms are uniquely decorated, have air conditioning, televisions, radio/alarms, reading lamps, and telephones.
