Devonport is an historic seaside township, where in world war II the New Zealand Navy defended Auckand City from a japanese invasion in the Hauraki Gulf (a marine park).

The Hauraki Gulf is an area consisting of 85 islands including our most famous - Rangitoto Island. Most of the islands are accessible by the public via a ferry service or by private owned boats and sea kayak.
