Vacation Rental Property
Idyllic lakefront home right on the water with unusually long frontage (230') on Long Lake near Bridgton, southwestern Maine about 3 hours' drive from Boston. Long Lake is a huge lake, at least 12 miles long, which connects to Sebago Lake. Across the road behind the house are more than 40 acres of forest.
The cottage has cathedral ceilings and skylights. There is a fieldstone fireplace with wood stove in the living room which opens to a breakfast bar and well-equipped modern kitchen with dishwasher. There is a bedroom with a double bed and spacious mirrored closet, a new tiled full bathroom with tub & shower, and a low-ceiling loft with two single beds and children's furniture. There is also a 20 X 16-foot family room with table and chairs, another double bed, sleeping sofa, TV, VCR, stereo, telephone and books and board games. In all there are two double beds and two single beds plus the sleeping sofa. The screened porch with dining table and small gas grill commands views of the lake for miles in both directions. Next to our permanent dock, directly in front of our cottage, is our private swimming area with sandy bottom. In addition, a private sandy beach is only a three-minute walk.
Long Lake has numerous islands and coves to explore. There are plenty of fish and many species of birds and wildlife. Use of our 17-foot Coleman canoe is included. Other boats can be rented from marinas on the lake, and we have a deep-water mooring.
